Bloomsburg Men's Soccer Falls to Dowling

OAKDALE, NY -- The Bloomsburg University Men's soccer team fell to Dowling College 3-0 in a non-conference game on Tuesday afternoon.

Dowling took a 1-0 lead in the first half on a goal by Guy-Roland Kpene. He was assisted by Keita Moussa. Bloomsburg's David Leiendecker (Easton/Easton) kept the game at 1-0, saving 11 shots in the first half.

Dowling opened up the second half on a goal in the 46th minute by Morten Jensen assisted by Michael Bujan. The Golden Lions added to their lead in the 67th minute when Jon Nessa scored on an assist from Kpene. The Huskies were unable to muster any offense in the rain and the game ended 3-0.

For Dowling, William Grady made three saves while Leiendecker stopped 17 shots for Bloomsburg.

Bloomsburg falls to 0-4-0 (0-3-0 PSAC) on the season while Dowling remains unbeaten (3-0) on the season.

The Huskies will host Lock Haven this Saturday at 12:00 noon on Bloomsburg's new turf field.
